This is the first course of the NanoMemCourse series of conferences, and aims to provide a broad knowledge on the general aspects of synthesis and characterization. Will provide a wide vision of the state of the art in nanostructured materials, including catalysts and adsorbents, but will deep more in aspects related with synthesis and characterization of membranes.

In addition to lectures on scientific issues, other parts of the course will provide an overview of the research outside the EU and of the industrial point of view, will improve the complementary skills as scientists and will see an industrial site and research laboratories, where will have the opportunity to have some hands-on tranining.

An integral part of the course is the poster sessions, where the participants can show their own research activities, and will be the starting point for the simulation exercise on “synchronising the european research”.
